Role Summary An established performer who consistently applies software engineering principles to business contexts, leads small, well-defined projects and continues as a supporting player on complex projects, and actively identifies inefficiencies in existing software. Experience 2+ years for Bachelor's 0-2 years for Master's Education • Developed software in a agile team environment. '• Built, published and monitored apps on the App Store or Play Store Functional/ Technical Skills •Has as strong understanding of Swift/Kotlin or Objective-C/Java •A good understanding of iOS/Android app design patterns (e.g. MVC, MVVM, MVP) and be able to explain pros and con •Nice to have - experience with integrating or contributing to open source code •Is comfortable translating design wireframes to workable proof of concept code •Is comfortable navigating API contracts like REST or GraphQL • Understands of how projects fit together within their team. • Understands moderately complex systems. • Understands testing and monitoring tools. • Understands how to debug and fix issues using the monitoring tools available • Good understanding of how to write unit tests and unit testable code • Understands how team goals fit a business need. Feels comfortable challenging authority/the status quo. • Proactively reports clearly on current work status. • Proactively asks challenging questions when empowered to do so.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $111,000.00 to $155,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

Skills Required

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • 0–2 years of software engineering experience with a Master's degree
  • Experience developing software in an agile team environment
  • Experience building, publishing, and monitoring apps on the App Store or Play Store
  • Strong understanding of Swift/Kotlin or Objective-C/Java
  • Understanding of iOS/Android app design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and MVP
  • Ability to translate design wireframes into proof-of-concept code
