Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Middle Software Engineer proficient in Node.js to join our dynamic development team. This project involves developing an API on Node.js that connects with C++ servers for a dialer center and integrates with existing client APIs and tests. Key tasks include implementing OAuth 2.0 for secure access and optimizing API call connection handling.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the existing Node.js API code and tests to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement performance, maintainability, and scalability enhancements.
• Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication mechanisms under the guidance of senior developers and the team lead.
• Collaborate with the team to evaluate and optimize API connection handling.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Document code changes and maintains up-to-date technical documentation.
• Assist in integrating API connections to C++ servers as part of the optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Node.js on the server side.
• Deep understanding of Node.js architecture and event-driven programming.
• Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming and handling callbacks, promises, and async/await.
• Experience in performance optimization.
• 2+ years of experience with the OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.
• Experience in implementing OAuth for secure API authentication and authorization.
• Understand various grant types (e.g., authorization code, client credentials) and scopes.
• Knowledge of related identity protocols such as SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and OIDC (OpenID Connect) for comprehensive identity management.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of REST principles and best practices.
• Experience with API versioning, documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI), and testing.
• Knowledge of AWS will be a plus.
