Position Overview
We are seeking
an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The candidate
will architect and implement enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Fabric,
develop sophisticated Power BI reports, and leverage conversational reporting
and AI tools to enhance data accessibility across the organization. This role
requires deep expertise in cloud data platforms and a passion for democratizing
data through innovative reporting solutions.
● Design, build, and optimize
data pipelines and ELT processes using Azure Fabric (Pipeline, Notebooks,
Lakehouses)
● Architect scalable ELT
solutions to support enterprise data lake and semantic layer
● Develop advanced Power BI
reports and dashboards with complex data modeling and DAX calculations
● Implement conversational
reporting solutions using AI tools to enable natural language querying of
business data
● Optimize data ingestion,
transformation, and refresh cycles for performance and cost-efficiency
● Collaborate with data analysts,
business stakeholders, and other engineers to translate requirements into
technical solutions
● Implement data governance,
security, and quality standards across the data platform
● Mentor junior team members and
establish best practices for data engineering
● Monitor, troubleshoot, and
optimize existing data systems and reports
● 4 to 6 years of professional
data engineering experience
● Expert-level experience with
Azure Fabric ecosystem (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Data
Factory)
● Advanced Power BI development
skills including complex data modeling, DAX, and report design best practices
● Strong proficiency in SQL and PySpark
optimization
● Experience with conversational
AI/reporting tools (such as Copilot, generative BI, or similar AI-powered
analytics solutions)
● Proven ability to architect
enterprise-scale data solutions
● Strong understanding of cloud
infrastructure, security, and governance
● Excellent problem-solving and
communication skills
● Bachelor’s degree in computer
science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional
experience)
● Experience with Microsoft
Fabric (OneLake, Real-Time Analytics)
● Hands-on experience
implementing AI-powered conversational analytics solutions
● Certification in Azure Data
Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent. DP-700 / AZ-900 preferred
● Experience with PySpark or
other programming languages for data processing
● Background in performance
tuning and optimization of large-scale data systems

Skills Required
- At least 5 years of data engineering experience, including experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with conversational analytics tools
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data integration
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Experience with reporting and data visualization solutions
