The Unscripted Production Manager will oversee and lead the operational, financial, and administrative aspects of unscripted entertainment productions from development through delivery. This role ensures the efficient use of resources, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery of all production deliverables. The Manager acts as the main liaison between executives, producers, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring a strong balance between creative goals and administrative discipline.
Core ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations- Develop, manage, and monitor production budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Create and supervise production schedules across pre-production, production, and post-production phases.
- Oversee all production logistics including permits, travel, accommodations, catering, and equipment rentals.
- Manage on-set production operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Supervise and support coordinators, assistants, and other production staff.
- Implement company policies, compliance standards, and internal procedures across all productions.
- Approve and track vendor contracts, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Maintain organized documentation (budgets, agreements, call sheets, schedules, deliverables) for audits and future reference.
- Oversee invoice processing and liaise with finance/accounting teams to ensure smooth cash flow.
- Support HR and Legal in onboarding, contracts, and personnel files for production staff.
- Act as primary liaison with producers, executives, and platform representatives.
- Provide regular updates on financial health, schedules, and risks to senior management.
- Lead administrative debriefs and ensure learnings are documented for future productions.
- Foster a positive team culture balancing creative ambition with operational discipline.
Bachelor’s degree in Production, Business Administration, Media, or related fields.
Knowledge- Languages: Advanced English (oral and written).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting/Scheduling.
- Solid understanding of finance, payroll, HR compliance, and cost reporting systems.
- 4+ years of production management experience in TV or film, with emphasis on unscripted formats.
- Proven track record handling budgets, cost reports, and large crews.
- Strong background in administrative oversight (contracts, payroll, insurance, compliance).
- Experience liaising with Finance, Legal, HR, and Executive stakeholders.
