Position Responsibilities
Looking for a people-focused leader, to lead one of our Viral manufacturing processing areas.
- Lead: recruit, lead, coach and retain a high performing operations team (~ 20 direct reports). As the leader you will set the tone for the area to maintain an effective and engaged manufacturing group.
- Own: you will effectively manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes run safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Investigate process excursions/deviations and production issues utilizing six sigma tools to ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented to eliminate the root cause of the problem.
- Strategize: design reporting standards for operational metrics and process KPIs to drive operational efficiencies and employee experiences.
- Customer focus: work cross-functionally with multiple teams to ensure your area delivers the highest quality of media and provide your team with the tools, resources and support needed to achieve their goals.
- Growth: Assist with technical projects within area of responsibility. Takes the manufacturing lead role in the coordination, document preparation, and introduction of new production processes as well as site to site transfers. Maintains state of the art competence on technological developments within area of responsibility and recommends equipment and/or process enhancements that will provide improved efficiencies, safety, and a competitive advantage.
Education and Experience
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to learn day to day.
- Ability to teach someone something new each day.
Even Better if you have:
- BS in Biological sciences or related field
- Relevant experience in biological manufacturing and/or aseptic manufacturing
Physical Position Requirements
Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations and biohazards: All of which Zoetis makes as safe as possible for the colleagues. In addition, prolonged sitting, continuous standing and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs.
