Job Description:

Engineering Team Lederen har primært ansvar for at lede maskinteamet i teknisk afdeling og udføre en række mekaniske designopgaver for det globale Equipment & Automation (E&A) produktprogram. Dette omfatter design af mekaniske komponenter og delsystemer til automatiseret udstyr i samarbejde med engineering-teamet for at opfylde kunders og markedets krav.

VÆSENTLIGE FUNKTIONER OG ANSVARSOMRÅDER

· Bruge 20–30% af tiden på at lede et team af ingeniører/designere udpeget af Engineering Leader

· Bruge 70–80% af tiden på almindelige ingeniøropgaver (solgte projekter, projektengineering, teknisk support, R&D m.m.)

· Opbygge en kultur baseret på tillid, teamwork, hårdt arbejde og høj performance

· Planlægge arbejdsbelastningen for alle teammedlemmer for at sikre rettidig projektlevering

· Dagligt følge op på teammedlemmer for at monitorere status og sikre, at de har de nødvendige ressourcer

· Ud fra 3D CAD-konceptmodeller, skitser eller mundtlige beskrivelser skabe CAD-modeller og dokumentation i SolidWorks

· Udarbejde og vedligeholde styklister med fokus på form, pasform, funktion, produktionsmuligheder, omkostninger og drift

· Arbejde i Microsoft Office (Excel og Word) til dokumentation, dataanalyse og rapportering

· Udarbejde samle- og detailtegninger i overensstemmelse med Afinitas’ standarder

· Kendskab til almindelige fremstillingsmetoder med fokus på lave omkostninger og opfyldelse af designintention

· Foretage og dokumentere designændringer og opdateringer af produktionstegninger

· Samarbejde med eksterne leverandører om specifikation af standardkomponenter og specialfremstillede dele

· Deltage i designanalyser og omkostningsreduktionstiltag samt bidrage til konceptudviklingsmøder

· Understøtte og samarbejde med andre afdelinger, herunder produktion og indkøb, samt hjælpe produktionen med at forstå tekniske tegninger og dokumentation.

KVALIFIKATIONER OG KOMPETENCER

· Ingeniøruddannelse og gerne 5+ års erfaring som maskiningeniør i produktions- eller fabriksindustri

· Minimum 2 års ledererfaring

· Evne til at samarbejde effektivt på tværs af afdelinger og til at lytte og forstå forskellige perspektiver

· Evne til at læse, tolke og udarbejde mekaniske tegninger og samlingstegninger

· Forståelse for maskinværkstedets funktioner og montagepraksis

· Erfaring med design af maskiner og formudstyr.

· Erfaring med design af pneumatiske og hydrauliske systemer

· Stærk mekanisk forståelse, sans for detaljer, problemløsning og fejlfinding både selvstændig og i samarbejde med teamet.

ARBEJDSMILJØ

Dette er en kontorbaseret stilling tilknyttet en produktionsfacilitet, med lejlighedsvise rejser til kunders anlæg. Medarbejderen skal kunne bære og anvende alt nødvendigt personligt beskyttelsesudstyr (PPE), som kræves af arbejdsgiveren ved ophold i produktionsområderne.

ENGLISH VERSION - OVERVIEW

Engineering Team Leader will be primarily responsible for leading the machine team and perform a variety of mechanical design duties for the global Equipment and Automation (E&A) product range, which includes the design of mechanical components and subsystems of automated machinery under the guidance of engineering personnel to meet customer and market requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Spend up to 20-30% of time as needed leading a team of engineers/designers assigned by Engineering Leader
  • 70-80% of time performing standard engineering duties (sold jobs, project engineering, miscellaneous engineering support, R&D, etc.)
  • Build a culture of trust, teamwork, hard work, and high performance
  • Schedule workload of all team members on your team to help ensure timeliness of project schedules
  • Check in daily on each member of team to monitor their status and ensure they have what they need to complete projects
  • Work with team members individually to develop and grow in their careers, providing feedback and coaching
  • Attend MCR meetings to represent projects involving your team
  • Meet weekly with engineering leader and team leaders to discuss priorities, opportunities, etc.
  • Complete Listen Like a Leader course offered by Barry-Wehmiller University within 6 months of beginning this position
  • Represent company values and Why Statement and set an example of leadership and integrity for the broader organization
  • Working from concepts created in 3D CAD, sketches, or verbal description, create CAD models and other documentation to fulfill design requirements using SolidWorks.
  • Prepare and maintain bills of material from CAD assemblies, with due consideration for form fit and function, manufacturing feasibility, cost, and operation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Products, using Excel and Word, to document or analyze data, to prepare reports.
  • Create assembly drawings and dimensioned detail drawings from CAD models that are compliant to Afinitas company standards.
  • Familiar with typical manufacturing methods for low-cost solutions while meeting design intent.
  • Make and properly document revisions to designs and manufacturing drawings.
  • Work with external suppliers to properly specify standard commercial parts and custom manufactured parts.
  • Participate in design analysis and cost reduction efforts. Contribute to conceptual design meetings.
  • Support and collaborate with other departments; assist with manufacturing and procurement opportunities; assist manufacturing team with interpretation of mechanical drawings and other related engineering documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES

  • Engineering Degree or Certificate and ideally 5+ years’ experience in a Mechanical Engineering role, within manufacturing/ plant industries.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, partnering across multiple departments, with a capacity for listening and absorbing different points of view.
  • Ability to read, interpret and create mechanical and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding the functions of machine shop and assembly practice.
  • Design of Machine Mechanisms
  • Design of Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem solving, and using troubleshooting skills independently and while interacting with various teams and teammates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility, with travel to customer plants. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in manufacturing areas.
