Why This Role MattersAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will help ensure equipment in the plant operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will contribute to maintenance and reliability efforts, support continuous improvement, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and enhance overall performance.
What You’ll DoPerform inspections, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities on production equipment, including presses, mixers, extruders, conveyors, and auxiliary machinery.
Support improvements to machine-level equipment using knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems (such as pumps, valves, cylinders, heat exchangers, and heating/cooling units).
Contribute to preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies within a continuous production environment.
Collaborate with maintenance teams by providing technical guidance, sharing knowledge, and supporting safe work practices (LOTO) and consistent standards.
Analyze equipment issues, recurring failures, and production impacts using tools such as SAP PM and key performance indicators (e.g., MTTR, MTBF, availability) to identify opportunities for improvement.
Apply predictive maintenance techniques (such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, and motor circuit analysis) to support equipment reliability.
Help define and maintain lubrication practices, support implementation of lubrication systems, and contribute to spare parts strategies based on equipment needs and lifecycle considerations.
Participate in coordination with maintenance, production, and quality teams, including involvement in shutdowns, turnarounds, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment effectiveness and loss reduction.
Degree (VI/VII) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, or industrial manufacturing
Proficiency in English
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational performance and reliability
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with predictive maintenance and reliability improvement approaches
Experience using CMMS/SAP for maintenance planning and reporting
