Job Responsibilities:
The Junior Developer will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, development and support of Power Platform solutions and processes. The Software Developer will work with other Developers, Business Analysts and Customers throughout the software development life cycle including cost analysis, design considerations and implementation timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal team and stakeholders to understand solution scope and overall project vision
- Assess and create system design and functional specifications for new development projects
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
- Build solutions utilizing best practices within the Power Platform environment
- Verify data sources and data integrity
- Participate in status report meetings with IT and Functional teams
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external resources of initiatives
- Follow emerging technology trends within the platform and identify opportunities for Magna Global IT Solutions
- Develop and provide guidance on company standards and procedures to support application making self-service process
- Actively participate in the governance of Power Apps and Power Automate within Magna
Knowledge, Education and Work Experience
- Post-secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education.
Skills and Competencies
- Basic technical experience with web development, database, reporting and user support.
- Understanding Power Apps development methods (Canvas, Model Driven)
- Understanding Power Automate to configure approval and data transformation flows
- Utilize OOTB connectors and custom connectors if needed
- Experience working with SharePoint Online development
- Knowledge in common web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, OData)
- Power BI integration is desired
- Knowledge in Compiled Programming Languages such as .NET C# is desired
- Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
- Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
