Job Description:
Afinitas is expanding and launching a new satellite technical office in Des Moines, Iowa, and we're looking for Mechanical Engineers at all experience levels to join our growing team.

What You'll Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept development and design through manufacturing support and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing innovative machine and equipment concepts
- Creating detailed designs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
- Performing engineering analysis and design calculations
- Developing and maintaining bills of material (BOMs)
- Evaluating and implementing design improvements
- Collaborating with manufacturing teams to support equipment builds and process improvements
- Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sourcing, and project management teams
- Utilizing SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools to develop customer-focused solutions
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience ranging from entry-level through senior engineering positions
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
