- Design, test and commission mechanical and mechatronics systems for our experimental campaigns
- Support our experiments on spot at national and international high power laser facilities
- Work on projects both independently and in teams, using professional engineering concepts to develop practical and creative solutions to complex engineering problems
- Create and maintain engineering documentation
- Contribute with your experience to the overall experimental campaigns
- Interact with external partners and team members
- Interact and collaborate with our scientists to design experimental equipment and setups
- 3D-design for manufacturing of custom radiation diagnostics instruments, optical setups, vacuum equipment
- Assemble, test, install and commission electro-mechanical components for the experiments
- Maintain a digital twin of the experimental setups
- Create and maintain the relevant engineering documentation
- Support the science team in the preparation phase and during experimental campaigns
- A degree in engineering, e.g., mechanical, aerospace, optical, nuclear, or related
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, commissioning in scientific facilities or in the aerospace, nuclear, laser, optics industry or similar
- Experience in applying EN 1090 or similar codes and standards
- Experience with INVENTOR / VAULT or similar CAD / PDM system
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills and a structured working style
- A healthy amount of flexibility, adaptability and can-do attitude
- Willingness to travel and spend time at international laser laboratories

Skills Required
