As a Mechanical engineer, should independently execute Mechanical design and finite element analysis from conceptual ideas to realization in product by fulfilling all system level requirements. Design solutions that are competitive in performance, cost and quality. Partner closely with cross functional team and program manager to deliver the design within defined timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems, devices, and packaging to meet performance, manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability requirements.
- Drive system integration from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
- Conduct feasibility studies, develop and implement test plans, and validate the functionality, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
- Define mechanical properties, document specifications, and validate unique thermomechanical solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Perform structural and stress analyses for key components such as chassis structures, heat sinks, and thermal attachments.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to incorporate manufacturing feedback, resolve production issues.
- Conduct design reviews, prototype testing, and system acceptance tests to ensure product quality and performance.
- Execute tolerance analyses at component, board, and system levels to ensure design precision.
- Apply deep materials knowledge to select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing technologies for optimized system performance.
- Utilize mechanical finite element modeling and simulation to analyze structural and reliability stress conditions, accounting for system boundary conditions and manufacturing processes.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- ME or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related specialized field.
- Experience in mechanical design and analysis
- Proficiency in 3D modeling using industry-standard tools Creo
- Experience in structural design and analysis (Static, Material non-linearity, Boundary non-linearity - Contact, Vibration and Shock)
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles and computer-aided manufacturing tools.
- Experience in conducting structural analysis, as well as failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
- Familiarity with mechanical testing and reliability fundamentals.

- Knowledge on electronics cooling requirements and cooling system design
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex structural and mechanical challenges.
