In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Measurement and Analytics division in Bangalore .
You will be mainly accountable for:
Contributing to the product development of Electromagnetic flow meters in Business Line Instrumentation, from early concept phase to design, validation and release to the manufacturing units.
Working in R&D multidisciplinary projects and collaborating with cross functional teams on all mechanical design aspects of instrumentation devices, including material selection and product manufacturability of Electromagnetic flow meters. In your area, you will be responsible for functionality, performance, cost and quality of the deliveries.
Collaborating actively with technical experts from other areas and across functions to hand over developed technologies in accordance with the quality requirements. You will also follow quality improvement actions in the organization and support customer case resolutions.
Documenting your work results, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in applying it, to ensure timely and high-quality results, as well as proposing and implementing actions to solve quality problems in R&D projects.
Qualifications for the role :
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from a reputed University.
6 to 10 years of R&D product development prior experience in the areas of mechanical design & development, material selection and design for cost & manufacturability, of Electromagnetic flow meters used for industrial measurement applications for process automation is must.
Overall understanding of Process Industry product development processes and product lifecycle, experience in Safety Critical Industrial applications and machine safety.
Knowledge of relevant standards for construction and design, static and dynamic load calculations, material strength calculations and simulations, testing and validation of designs pertaining to Electromagnetic Flow Meters.
Proficiency in mechanical design and simulation tools & hands on experience on 3D-model based CAD design tools like Creo and Solid works.
Experience in Product Life cycle management process and tools, preferably PTC Windchill, in creating BOM structures and creating product baselines.
