About this opportunity:
Material Planning is an integral part of the Hardware Services Delivery team, ensuring that Ericsson has the necessary service parts to enable our customers to timely restore failures in the live network. The role of the material planner is to optimize delivery performance while minimizing costs and inventory across the end-to-end supply chain. This requires a data driven, analytical mind-set, continuous improvement by doing high quality root causes analysis and defining effective counter measures .
What you will do:
- Execute the Hardware Services (HWS) Material Planning process efficiently.
- Ensure stock availability through Forecasting, Stock Dimensioning, Replenishment Planning, and Source Planning while maintaining desired spend and inventory levels.
- Monitor and follow up on orders to suppliers and repair centers.
- Serve as the primary interface to repair centers for daily issues and escalate structural issues, such as capacity and quality, to the relevant stakeholders.
- Initiate process and tool improvements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
- Make informed decisions on intended inventory stocking levels.
- Review and adjust Target Stock Levels (TSL) to ensure fulfillment in response to changes in customer demand.
- Manage dimensioning throughout the product lifecycle.
- Take part in and/or lead assignments to drive our strategy.
- Perform root cause analysis, define and execute effective structural countermeasures.
The skills you bring :
- A background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Computer Science, or Mathematical Theory and Applied Probability.
- Relevant experience between 6 to 10 years in material planning/inventory planning.
- (reverse) logistics experience is a preference.
- Knowledge of Business Processes.
