About us:
As an international specialist insurer we are far removed from the world of mass market insurance products. Instead we are selective and focus on our key areas of expertise and strength - all of which is underpinned by a culture that encourages us to challenge convention and always look for a better way of doing things. We insure the unique and interesting. And we search for the same when it comes to talented people. Hiscox is full of smart, reliable human beings that look out for customers and each other. We believe in doing the right thing, making good and rebuilding when things go wrong. Everyone is encouraged to think creatively, challenge the status quo and look for solutions. Scratch beneath the surface and you will find a business that is solid, but slightly contrary. We like to do things differently and constantly seek to evolve. We might have been around for a long time (our roots go back to 1901), but we are young in many ways, ambitious and going places.
The role:
We have embarked on a journey to transform our approach to procurement right across our business and have invested in a procurement system based on the award winning iValua solution (Marketplace). The role is primarily to support the Procurement function and the wider business in the management and efficient operation of our Marketplace solution. A key component is providing better support to colleagues in the rest of the business to navigate our systems and find the goods/services they are looking for and helping them to ‘self-serve’ where it is appropriate for them to do so.

- Where colleague requests are deemed low value/low risk and they are directed to self-serve buying tools, provide advice on how to use these effectively.
- Support the successful delivery of wave 3 (US) and wave 4 (Europe) by supporting the project team with key tasks, providing analysis where required and being an integral member of the project.
- As directed by System Admins and Digital Transformation Managers manage the training library, update training material and bitesize videos to reflect current ways of working
- Maintain access rights, distribution lists etc to Ivalua ensuring compliance to agreed Hiscox access management protocol.
- Maintain the Marketplace Practice Management library structure, ensuring that all procurement process artefacts are stored accurately, version controlled and issued appropriately.
- Issue campaigns to suppliers via Marketplace to pro-actively update their details, inform them of upcoming updates and gather feedback.
- Coordinate the production of packs for any Procurement governance meetings (PLT, UKLT etc), liaising with colleagues to ensure the timely submission of documents and ensuring you produce the packs within agreement deadlines and with great attention to detail.
- Use analytic tools within the Marketplace system to produce reports which highlight opportunity in category areas while providing insight to the PLT on trends and areas of concern.
- Create monthly supplier risk management reporting clearly articulating key elements including but not limited to FSQS supplier qualification, segmentation results/progress and Critical and Important Outsource compliance to regulation in a visual and insightful way.
About you:
Do you provide awesome levels of customer service? Do you enjoy identifying trends in data and developing solutions? Do you like having a hands-on role, being at the forefront of setting up new procurement tools and processes?
