About the Role

We are a Boston-based accounting and finance firm seeking an experienced, highly capable Part-Time Marketing Specialist to strengthen our market presence, expand our professional network, and build thought leadership across the industries we serve.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned marketing professional who understands the professional services environment and can independently develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in LinkedIn marketing, webinar development and presentation, thought leadership, and industry-specific content creation.

This is a flexible, part-time engagement requiring approximately 0–10 hours per week, depending on business needs and the marketing calendar. We are looking for someone who can make a meaningful impact with a focused investment of time.

Key Responsibilities

LinkedIn Marketing & Digital Presence

  • Develop and execute a targeted LinkedIn marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, strengthen professional relationships, and generate business development opportunities.
  • Create and publish engaging content that highlights the firm's expertise, services, industry insights, and perspectives.
  • Manage content planning, posting cadence, and audience engagement to build visibility among prospective clients, referral sources, and industry professionals.
  • Identify opportunities to expand reach through employee advocacy, professional networking, and relevant industry conversations.

Webinar Development & Presentation

  • Develop webinar topics and programs relevant to the firm's services and the industries it serves.
  • Coordinate webinar planning, content development, promotion, registration, and follow-up.
  • Serve as a webinar presenter or moderator when appropriate, delivering engaging, informative presentations to professional audiences.
  • Repurpose webinar content into articles, LinkedIn posts, and other marketing materials to maximize reach and value.

Thought Leadership & Content Marketing

  • Develop compelling thought leadership content that demonstrates the firm's expertise in accounting, finance, and related business matters.
  • Research and write high-quality marketing articles, industry insights, and educational content tailored to the various industries the firm serves.
  • Translate complex accounting and financial topics into clear, practical, and engaging content for business owners, executives, and other decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and subject matter experts to identify timely topics, develop original perspectives, and maintain a consistent content pipeline.
  • Repurpose existing expertise and materials into articles, newsletters, website content, webinar presentations, and social media posts.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Recommend practical, cost-effective marketing initiatives aligned with the firm's growth objectives.
  • Develop a focused marketing calendar and prioritize activities that deliver the greatest impact within the available hours.
  • Monitor engagement and performance metrics, assess results, and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and professional standards across marketing channels.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within a professional services firm such as an accounting firm, financial advisory firm, consulting firm, law firm, or similar organization.
  • Significant hands-on experience developing and executing LinkedIn marketing campaigns and content strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing webinars and serving as a presenter, moderator, or facilitator.
  • Proven ability to create thought leadership content, including articles, industry commentary, and educational marketing materials.
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience tailoring content and messaging to multiple industries and distinct target audiences.
  • Ability to translate technical, financial, and business concepts into accessible, compelling content.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and deliver high-quality work with limited oversight.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing analytics, content planning tools, and webinar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing accounting, tax, outsourced finance, CFO advisory, consulting, or other business-to-business professional services.
  • Existing knowledge of the Boston business community and regional professional networks.
  • Experience supporting business development through content marketing, referral relationships, and professional networking.
  • Ability to develop marketing materials that establish credibility, build trust, and generate qualified business opportunities.

Work Arrangement & Time Commitment

  • Flexible, part-time engagement of 0–10 hours per week, based on the firm's needs and mutually agreed priorities.
  • Work may be performed remotely, with occasional in-person meetings in the Boston area as needed.
  • Flexible scheduling with an emphasis on initiative, responsiveness, quality, and measurable results.
  • The successful candidate will work directly with firm leadership to identify priorities and deliver targeted marketing initiatives efficiently.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will help the firm build a stronger and more consistent market presence, increase engagement with prospective clients and referral sources, establish a recognizable voice in the industries it serves, and create valuable content that supports business development.

We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on marketing professional who can bring experience, sound judgment, and creativity to a small firm without the time commitment or overhead of a full-time marketing hire.
