Job Description
Just imagine shaping how the LEGO® brand builds demand across Spain and Portugal. Then make it real.
About the role
As our Marketing Planning & Performance Manager for Iberia, you’ll lead insight-driven marketing planning, budget management and marketing effectiveness. You’ll translate global and Western Europe priorities into commercially grounded local plans. Working closely with Marketing and Finance, you’ll connect consumer, shopper and market insights with investment decisions, monitor performance and recommend action when results move off track. The position will belong to the marketing leadership team reporting directly to the Head of Marketing.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in coordinating planning cycles, tracking spend and forecasts, investigating variances and supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Strong ease working with figures and complex datasets; ability to check data accuracy, identify trends and variances, interpret marketing, consumer, shopper and commercial data, evaluate effectiveness and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Excel, strong PowerPoint and confidence working with reporting and planning systems to produce accurate analysis and clear decision-ready presentations.
- Stakeholder influence and collaboration: build strong relationships across Marketing, Finance and regional teams
- Being able to connect analysis to business priorities, communicate a clear storyline and present practical recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Prioritisation, ownership and adaptability: focus on the highest-impact priorities - make trade-offs, anticipate risks, maintain attention to detail and deliver reliably under pressure
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Applied marketing mix modelling, campaign evaluation, or consumer and shopper research to guide media and marketing investment decisions.
- Coordinated integrated marketing plans across multiple markets, aligning local priorities with regional direction.
What you'll build
- Coordinating the marketing contribution to Iberia’s annual strategy, bringing together insights and priorities to shape a coherent plan aligned with business objectives and Western Europe direction.
- Optimising marketing budgets throughout the year, allocating and reallocating investment in line with strategic priorities and business performance to focus resources where they can have the greatest impact.
- Balancing brand-building priorities, commercial objectives and budget constraints, including recommendations to address gaps to target.
- Translating complex performance data and marketing effectiveness findings into practical investment choices and clear stakeholder narratives.
- Improving planning tools, data quality and ways of working while building shared ownership of performance and continuous learning.
If you’ve owned a marketing budget or planning cycle and used performance data to change an investment decision, you’ll feel at home here. What matters most is making complex findings clear, practical and useful.
Life on the team
You’ll join the Iberia Marketing team, which creates demand through locally relevant programmes grounded in consumer, shopper and commercial understanding. You’ll collaborate across Brand Marketing, Digital Media, Brand Relations, Trade Marketing and Finance. You’ll take ownership, manage competing priorities and communicate clear storylines, while constructively challenging requests when focus is needed.
What success looks like
You’ll create transparent budgets, reliable planning routines and timely performance reviews that lead to action. As the team strengthens integrated planning across Spain and Portugal, you’ll help embed marketing effectiveness and consumer insights into investment discussions. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Leadership Team, Finance, Western Europe peers, insight specialists, the Marketing Effectiveness team and external agencies.
