Blue Ops is seeking a Product Marketing Manager, Maritime Division to drive the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market success of our unmanned surface vessel portfolio. This role sits at the center of product, market, and customer—translating complex maritime autonomous technologies into compelling narratives that resonate with defense, government, and security stakeholders.
Reporting directly to the President of Blue Ops, this individual will play a key role in shaping how our products are understood, adopted, and deployed in operational environments. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in product marketing and a passion for emerging technologies in maritime autonomy, robotics, and defense.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProduct Positioning & Messaging
- Develop clear, differentiated positioning and value propositions for Blue Ops’ USV platforms and maritime capabilities
- Translate technical product features into mission-relevant benefits for defense, security, and government customers
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct ongoing market assessments, including customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Identify opportunities for differentiation and inform product roadmap inputs
Go-to-Market Strategy
- Partner with product line managers and leadership to define and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing platforms
- Support product launches, capability rollouts, and campaign execution
Campaign Development & Execution
- Collaborate with the broader Red Cat marketing team to align on integrated campaigns across digital, PR, and social media
- Develop targeted content including product briefs, presentations, videos, and sales enablement materials
Trade Shows & Events
- Support planning and execution of key industry events, demonstrations, and customer engagements
- Represent Blue Ops in a customer-facing capacity, articulating product value and operational impact
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and industry partners to ensure marketing accurately reflects product capabilities
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, bringing insights into product and messaging development
- 3–5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within robotics, autonomous systems, defense, or security
- Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging and campaigns
- Experience supporting go-to-market initiatives and cross-functional product launches
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and competitive analysis
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with customer-facing confidence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Familiarity with maritime operations, unmanned systems, or defense acquisition environments
- Experience working with or marketing to DoD, government, or international defense customers
- Understanding of multi-domain or integrated autonomous systems ecosystems
- Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate large indoor and outdoor facilities for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks, in accordance with safety protocols and company policy.
- May be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch during inspections, maintenance walk-throughs, or emergency response situations.
- Regular exposure to facility operations including noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment.
- Occasional off-hours or weekend work required for emergency facility responses or projects as needed
- Requires frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment for documentation, communication, and coordination tasks.
- Up to 15–20% travel for trade shows, customer engagements, and field demonstrations
