About the Role:

We're seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team and contribute to our growing social media presence. This internship will focus on developing engaging video content, primarily for Instagram Reels and Facebook videos, to enhance our brand awareness and audience engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media trends, has a knack for storytelling through video, and possesses a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced marketing environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Content Ideation:

    • Brainstorm and develop innovative video concepts for Instagram Reels and Facebook videos, aligned with our brand and marketing objectives.

    • Conduct thorough research on current social media trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to identify trending video formats and topics.

    • Generate creative and original video ideas that resonate with our target audience.

  • Video Production:

    • Shoot high-quality video content using provided office equipment (smartphones, cameras, lighting, etc.).

    • Plan and execute video shoots, including scripting, storyboarding, and coordinating with team members.

    • Ensure videos are shot in a way that is compliant with each social media platforms requirements.

  • Content Research:

    • Stay up to date with the newest social media trends.

    • Perform competitive analysis.

  • Editing & Graphic Design (Bonus):

    • Edit video footage using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, etc.) to create polished and engaging content.

    • Create basic graphic design elements (e.g., text overlays, thumbnails, animated graphics) to enhance video content.

    • Add music and sound effects.

  • Collaboration & Support:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure video content aligns with overall marketing strategies.

    • Assist with other marketing tasks as needed.

    • Maintain an organized filing system of all video content.

What You Have:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Film, Media Studies, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in social media marketing and video content creation.

  • Familiarity with Instagram Reels and Facebook video trends.

  • Basic understanding of video production principles and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Proficiency with smartphones for video recording.

  • A portfolio of video content (if available) is a plus.

  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut) is a plus.

  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Canva) is a plus.
