BurdaLuxury TH is looking for an experienced and versatile Marketing Director in Thailand. Reporting to the Managing Director and Publisher and working closely with key stakeholders, the position is responsible for developing new brand initiatives for its media titles, creative marketing campaigns, and on-ground event activations engaging our readers, advertisers, and the wider industry. Equipped with strong leadership and management skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple vendors, projects, tasks, and navigate budgets, negotiations, event logistics, and technical complexities of each project. The position is key to ensuring success in the delivery of events as part of the 360 approach for editorial, sales, and marketing via impactful brand experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a marketing communication plan (IMC / Online / Offline / On-Ground) to promote the media titles under BurdaLuxury TH: Prestige, Hello! Thailand, Augustman, Lifestyle Asia TH, and Travel + Leisure TH.
  • Generate quality ideas for new brand campaigns and projects
  • Deliver set event revenue targets, and expand new commercial partnership opportunities
  • Support the Sales Team on ideations, proposals, client relationship management, and revenue-generating initiatives
  • Develop creative marketing strategies for our brands
  • Develop brand solutions for advertisers in cooperation with other departments
  • Oversee the magazine’s flagship campaigns/ events and its budget allocation
  • Develop and manage the overall event processes and proactively develop various components (including event concept, décor, entertainment, social media activations, etc.) involving key stakeholders.
  • Sourcing, curating, and maintaining new vendors, sites, and innovative ways of keeping relevant within the industry
  • Analyse campaigns/ activities’ performance for further optimization
  • Establishing content and marketing partnerships with brand partners to generate buzz and drive magazine sales and commercial success
  • Establishing relations with KOLs, celebrities, for collaborative projects and branding
  • Keeping up to date with consumer insights, competitor movements, and market situations to define opportunities and threats
  • Ensure Personal Data Protection Agreements and Compliance Regulations are adhered to
  • Working knowledge of budgets and negotiations while strengthening proficiency in logistics, functioning, and formatting.
  • Innovative thinker. Continual research and updating on current and relevant areas of design, technology, industry standards, creative vendors/talent, music, pop culture, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Communications or Journalism, Media, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Keen interest, knowledge, and contacts in the world of lifestyle, particularly in the fields of the local people and society
  • Possess at least more than 8+ years of experience in the media /digital media/ creative marketing field in Thailand. 
  • Creativity and drive to collaborate with the Sales Team to create successful campaigns
  • Proven track record of creating events, partnerships, and creative brand campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate and present clearly in English at a high level
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized and a good team player
  • The ability to work on multiple projects, under pressure and to deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of premium and luxury brands in Thailand. 
  • Existing relationships with luxury brands, upscale celebrities and KOLs in the market
  • Experience with event management and general knowledge of photos and video editing software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Social media-savvy and always staying on top of trending topics in the society
  • Deep understanding of the complex and constantly evolving digital/ traditional medial landscape and consumer’s behaviour
