Position Overview
The day-to-day tasks assigned to the Marketing Coordinator position plays a critical role in supporting Pekin Insurance’s strategic marketing initiatives across our P&C and Life businesses. Teamwork, energy, and a positive “can do” attitude will be key attributes for success in this position.
This role provides hands-on coordination, content execution, research, and platform management, allowing the marketing team to sustain momentum, deepen campaign effectiveness, and protect long-term brand equity.
Essential Job Functions
- Manages day-to-day operations of our social media efforts for agents and policyholders, including coordinating timelines, executing content publishing, building campaign decks, managing campaign boards, and other related administrative functions
- Collaborates with the marketing team regarding content and creative concepts for various projects
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment as well as perform various assigned tasks individually
- Conducts competitive, industry, and digital trend research to inform campaign strategy and content direction
- Helps product and agent training marketing efforts by organizing the materials and making sure information is clearly and efficiently communicated
- Attends and assists with various agency-related events and meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic ability to:
- Support problem-solving by identifying options and gathering information with guidance from the marketing team
- Assist with reviewing campaign and social performance using dashboards or basic reports, and help summarize results
- Ability and willingness to learn insurance products, terminology, and core business concepts to support marketing communications and initiatives
- Recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
- Organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proven ability to produce accurate work consistently
- Work overtime as required
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic Knowledge of:
- Social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Digital marketing tools or platforms
- Insurance knowledge

Salary Range:
- $49,000-$63,500 per year
- This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual qualifications.
