As the Business Solutions Marketing Consultant, you will create end-to-end marketing strategies that align to MassMutual's strategy and drive growth in this key segment market. From leading research efforts and informing market opportunity analysis all the way through creative execution and campaign measurement, you will be the point person for the Business Owner marketing plan.
The Team
This role sits within the Financial Wellness & Segment Marketing team, part of the Marketing & Brand organization at MassMutual. Our team is customer-centric to the core and we use our deep audience data and insights to help bring the breadth of MassMutual's offering to segment markets, in a way that resonates and delivers on our brand promise. We foster a culture of collaboration, idea sharing, inclusion, and growth. A can-do attitude and eagerness to manage multiple initiatives at once is especially important. Understanding the mindset of small business owners as well as financial advisors is incredibly important. As a member of this team, you'll work closely with other segment marketing leaders and financial wellness marketing and content strategists, as well as cross-functionally across the team as you collaborate with Brand, Channel, Creative, and Product Marketing.
The Impact:
As the Business Solutions Marketing Consultant, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Use your marketing expertise to create end-to-marketing strategies that drive our Business Solutions goals, including audience and market research, value proposition creation, messaging and positioning, integrated marketing campaign management, analysis and reporting, and informed recommendations for go-forward plans.
  • Develop turnkey campaigns for Business Market advisors to use with clients and prospects, including email, print, social, and video assets.
  • Lead our efforts to build awareness with business owner clients and partner with our Centers of Excellence to develop digital experiences that help drive consideration for MassMutual.
  • Be the voice of the client for B2B, B2B2C, and B2C marketing efforts - including how we grow in the financial advisor market and in the Business Owner client market.
  • Be the ultimate collaborator and integrator across several teams, including spearheading a holistic content strategy for Marketing, managing multiple integrated campaigns and initiatives, and seeking and gaining buy-in from partners across the organization.

The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of marketing experience

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services
  • Experience directly supporting the Business Owner market
  • Experience writing and gaining buy-in on go-to-market strategies for the Business Owner segment
  • A passion for small business owners and demonstrated experience marketing to a segment
  • Strong content conceptualization skills, with demonstrated ability to advance a content plan through execution
  • Organized and detail oriented. Able to coordinate multiple projects at once.
  • Experience in B2B, B2B2C, and B2C marketing - understanding your different audiences, what they need, and how to reach them.
  • Commitment to expanding your skill set and learning from others, including learning the MassMutual product portfolio.
