Marketing Category Manager F/M/X

(CDI)


We are currently looking for passionate people ready to make a difference in the following open position: Marketing Category Manager based in Lyon (7e). This position contributes to the company's growth as the person is responsible for the complete marketing management of a product range/portfolio and an expert in the relevant market.

This position includes both strategic marketing (definition and implementation of strategic plan) and operational marketing (product launch plan).


Job description

Definition and steering of the franchise strategy :

  • Analyze the market and anticipate trends to identify unsatisfied needs and growth opportunities
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the category and product portfolio
  • Identify opportunities for developing innovations, product range extensions or associated services, in collaboration with the R&D


Lead the development and market introduction of new products, and manage product portfolio life cycle

  • Build and manage portfolio roadmap
  • Lead, design and manage the development of new product launches : design briefs, project management, positioning, pricing strategy and industrial investment requirements.
  • Steer product lifecycle


Support development and growth of product portfolio

  • Build and maintain positioning and value proposition of the product range including pricing policy
  • Design content and manage update of communication tools in collaboration with the Communication team
  • Ensure and support sales development of category (trade shows, prospection campaigns, key customers meetings, sales tools and trainings...)

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • BA or master’s degree in marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering or Business required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B business and marketing in the environment of technically complex products
  • Excellent level of English : day-to-day working language
  • Excellent knowledge of market analysis tools and methods (databases, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Business acumen : understanding commercial and strategic issues
  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry market
  • Technical affinity and technical interest/willingness to learn to allow solid communication with R&D, Engineering and plant teams
  • Managing and organising projects with multi-functional teams: coordination, planning, chairing meetings

For this position, some travel would be required, and we offer the possibility of working from home 2 days per week.
