What We’re Looking For

The Marketing Automation Specialist is a hands-on execution role responsible for building, launching, testing, and reporting on marketing automation programs, email campaigns, webinar campaigns, and lead nurture flows.

This role supports the Demand Generation team by translating campaign plans into accurate, measurable, and optimized programs across Pardot, Salesforce, webinar platforms, and reporting tools.

What You'll Do

Marketing Automation Execution

  • Build and maintain automated marketing workflows in Pardot, including nurture programs, free trial follow-up flows, re-engagement campaigns, and lead routing programs.
  • Execute drip campaigns for key prospect actions, including contacts who start but do not complete a free trial flow.
  • Build, test, and launch automated email programs based on audience segmentation, form submissions, campaign engagement, lifecycle stage, and lead status.
  • Set up campaign logic, completion actions, suppression lists, segmentation rules, dynamic lists, and automation rules.
  • QA automation flows before launch to confirm links, forms, routing, tracking, audience logic, and campaign attribution are working as intended.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to turn campaign briefs into executable workflows and campaign assets.

Email Campaign Execution

  • Build, test, schedule, and launch email campaigns in Pardot.
  • Set up audience lists, suppression lists, personalization fields, templates, forms, landing pages, and campaign tracking.
  • Coordinate with content, design, digital, and regional marketing teams to support campaign execution.
  • Conduct email QA, including rendering, links, UTM parameters, personalization, sender details, and compliance requirements.
  • Support email calendar management to help balance campaign volume and audience touchpoints.

A/B Testing Execution

  • Set up and execute A/B tests for email subject lines, copy, CTAs, templates, landing pages, forms, and campaign flows.
  • Track test results and summarize findings for the broader marketing team.
  • Maintain a test-and-learn approach to improve campaign engagement, conversion rates, and lead quality.
  • Document learnings from past tests to support future campaign decisions.

Webinar Intake & Execution

  • Manage webinar intake requests from internal stakeholders and translate requirements into execution plans.
  • Build webinar registration pages, confirmation emails, reminder emails, follow-up emails, and attendee/no-show nurture flows.
  • Coordinate campaign setup across Pardot, Salesforce, and webinar platforms.
  • Support list management, invite sends, registration tracking, attendee tracking, and post-webinar follow-up.
  • Report on webinar performance, including registrations, attendance rate, engagement, leads generated, and influenced pipeline where available.

Reporting & Data Analysis

  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, including email engagement, form submissions, conversion rates, webinar performance, lead flow, and campaign attribution.
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders with clear insights, trends, and recommendations.
  • Analyze prospect and customer data to identify segmentation opportunities, engagement patterns, and campaign optimization areas.
  • Review campaign performance to identify what is working, what is underperforming, and where improvements can be made.
  • Support data hygiene efforts related to lists, fields, segmentation, campaign attribution, and Salesforce/Pardot alignment.
  • Use reporting tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, Excel, Power BI, and other marketing analytics platforms.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation, naming conventions, QA checklists, and reporting processes.
  • Support compliance with CASL, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable email marketing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation, Content, Design, Web, Product Marketing, and Regional Marketing teams to support campaign execution.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to campaign intake, execution, QA, reporting, and optimization.
  • Support ongoing improvements to email templates, landing pages, forms, automation logic, and campaign workflows.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Experience You’ll Bring

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, campaign operations, or a related role. 
  • Hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform - Pardot experience is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform. 
  • Experience building or supporting email campaigns, nurture flows, or automated workflows. 
  • Comfort working with data - pulling reports, analyzing results, and making practical recommendations. 
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when building and QA-ing campaigns. 
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS to create emails, landing pages. 
  • Pardot or Salesforce certifications are a plus but not required. 
  • Working knowledge of email compliance best practices, including CASL, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, and PII handling.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing KPIs including open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, unsubscribe rate, and bounce rate. 
  • Experience setting up or supporting A/B tests for email, landing pages, CTAs, or campaign flows. 
  • Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.

Replacement Role - The targeted compensation range for this position typically falls between $65,000 to $70,000 annually.  Final compensation is determined by education, experience, and internal equity principles.
