The PositionThe Global Digital Hub has newly been established within Roche Services & Solutions Center. Our main purpose is to strengthen the digital capabilities of Roche globally by supporting central initiatives with Social Media Management, Brand Support, Digital Publishing Services, Marketing Automation, Copywriting and Creative Design.
The Marketing Automation Specialist role is responsible for day-to-day administration and operation of digital marketing activities in the Global Digital Hub for the Marketing Automation Chapter. The role acts as a specialist role to reach Global Digital Hub’s key objectives and business goals by supporting business partners and stakeholders in owning and executing digital marketing programs and projects. The role is responsible for working with affiliates/global and/or regional teams in executing on the digital strategy related to Roche events, products, services, account-based marketing or any other campaign management-related activities, within the respective Marketing Automation Tool (SFMC).
The Marketing Automation Specialist is capable of consulting, and orchestrating end-to-end email marketing campaigns from execution to measurement. The ideal candidate is able to utilize existing templates, forms and landing pages, have a solid understanding about building up complex program/campaign logics and be able to build out reporting metrics that support the business in continuing their growth to meet KPIs and objectives.
The Marketing Automation Specialist is able to follow and use existing processes and procedures to work effectively, owns, develops and communicates project goals and timelines for the stakeholders. The Marketing Automation Specialist is able to handle tasks with flexibility and agility to better address strategic needs and reach expected outcomes.
The role may include advising and consulting on resolution in case of an error/malfunction appearing in the Marketing Automation Solution, or investigating the problem with involvement of a 3rd party vendor. The role maintains internal processes, documentation, communication plans, and ensures adherence to guidelines and best practices.
The Opportunity:
Design, implement, and optimize Journey Builder automations based on market requests to meet campaign objectives.
Build and manage SQL queries for audience segmentation and data extraction to support targeted marketing initiatives.
Develop and maintain CloudPages with dynamic, personalized content while ensuring seamless user experiences.
Implement advanced personalization in email templates and landing pages using AMPscript to enhance customer engagement.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related technical issues in collaboration with affiliates and Salesforce support teams.
Oversee and conduct quality assurance (QA) checks for automation solutions created by team members to ensure accuracy and performance.
Educate team members on best practices, create and maintain technical documentation, and enhance the performance of automation workflows while staying current on Salesforce Marketing Cloud advancements.
Who you are:
Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
Show proven experience in working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and its suite of tools.
Possess strong expertise in personalization languages such as AMPscript, Velocity Script, or Liquid to create dynamic content.
Display proficiency in using key SFMC tools, including Contact Builder, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder.
Demonstrate advanced SQL writing and optimization skills for efficient data management and audience segmentation.
Have knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to develop mobile-responsive forms and update existing HTML content.
Preferably hold a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification and have experience working with data privacy regulations related to email marketing, Salesforce integrations with other Salesforce products, and you are preferably familiar with Salesforce.com objects (Account, Contact, Opportunity, Campaign etc.) and Synchronized Salesforce Data Extensions.
