About this opportunity:
We are now looking for Senior Fullstack Developers to join our Automation & Orchestration teams.
Team Hydra develops and operates Ericsson's internal R&D Configuration Management Database and related web services and APIs, forming a critical part of the provisioning foundation for Ericsson's R&D private cloud infrastructure. The platform is migrating from PHP to Kotlin/Spring Boot - new development is exclusively in Kotlin.
Team eStart develops Ericsson's internal self-service portal for R&D IT infrastructure - an internal marketplace where service providers publish infrastructure services (virtual machines, network configurations, storage, DNS, etc.) and service consumers order and manage instances of those services. Every R&D team that needs infrastructure goes through eStart.
What you will do:
• Design frontend features using Angular (16+), Material, TypeScript, and RxJS.• Implement backend services using Java/Spring Boot, Kotlin, Hibernate, and MySQL, including system architecture, integrations, and database design.• Lead platform modernization efforts, migrating a PHP monolith to Kotlin microservices (strangler fig pattern) with zero-downtime operations.• Break down requirements into user stories, refine acceptance criteria, and clarify scope with stakeholders.• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve workflows and code quality.• Mentor developers through code reviews and technical leadership.• Contribute to the technical roadmap and architectural decisions.• Promote Agile and DevSecOps ways of working, including PI planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.• Collaborate with other A&O teams, Product Owners, and Service Delivery Managers to ensure high-quality delivery.
The skills you bring:
• 5+ years of professional fullstack development experience.• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field - or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong frontend skills with Angular (16+)• Backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Kotlin, including RESTful API design, system integration, and data modeling.• Proficiency in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and tooling such as GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.• Willingness to champion AI-assisted development practices (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).• Proven ability to make architectural decisions and drive technical direction.• Experience with Agile/DevSecOps (Scrum/Kanban), cross-functional teams, and continuous improvement.• Strong collaboration skills; capable of working with minimal daily direction in a complex stakeholder landscape.• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
