Role Purpose
As a Marketing Assistant within the WeconnectU Marketing Department, you will play a key supporting role in the execution of marketing activities, campaign coordination, and day-to-day departmental operations. This role combines marketing administration, campaign support, coordination, and basic design assistance to ensure the smooth running of marketing initiatives across the business.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a foundational understanding of marketing principles, digital communication, and administrative processes. You will work closely with the Marketing team to support brand visibility, client engagement, and operational efficiency within the department.
Marketing Administration & Coordination
Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and departmental initiatives.
Assist with coordinating email marketing campaigns and related communication activities.
Coordinate and set up Zoom meetings, webinars, training sessions, and online events.
Prepare, package, and distribute promotional items, giveaway prizes, and marketing material.
Provide administrative support to the Marketing Department, including scheduling, tracking tasks, and maintaining marketing records.
Assist with general coordination of projects and ensure deadlines are met effectively.
Marketing Operations & Departmental Support
Assist with the management and organisation of the Marketing storeroom and promotional inventory.
Support the Marketing team with operational and logistical requirements.
Provide assistance with day-to-day departmental responsibilities to improve workflow efficiency.
Maintain organised filing systems, marketing assets, and campaign documentation.
Ensure all marketing materials and resources are properly maintained and accessible.
Content & Design Support
Assist with the creation and editing of basic marketing and promotional material.
Support the team with graphic design tasks for social media, presentations, internal communication, and promotional campaigns.
Ensure marketing collateral remains aligned with the WeconnectU brand identity and standards.
Assist with updating and maintaining digital marketing assets where required.
Client & Brand Support
Ensure professional and timely communication across all marketing-related activities.
Assist in maintaining a positive and engaging brand presence across campaigns and events.
Support client-facing marketing initiatives that contribute to brand awareness and engagement.
Requirements
Skills & Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in a Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, Administrative, or similar support role.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and campaign coordination.
- Experience with email campaigns, administrative coordination, and scheduling platforms.
- Basic graphic design knowledge and experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.
- Relevant qualification or tertiary education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is advantageous.
