Brown & Brown is seeking a Marketing Analyst to join our growing team in Saginaw, MI!
The Marketing Analyst works as a liaison between our agents and insurance carriers to develop client proposals for various insurance plans (medical, dental, disability, etc.). This position is responsible for such duties as; gathering client data, submitting quote requests to carriers, negotiating rate discounts with carrier representatives, preparing formal proposals for client presentations, updating and maintaining internal client records and Agency Management System.
How You Will Contribute:
Maintain client/prospect activity logs, including renewal reports, and provide updates during team meetings.
Manage renewal processes, including overseeing the Pre-Renewal Questionnaire and updating BAM.
Organize client files by creating and maintaining marketing/renewal folders and storing benefit documents in ImageRight.
Collect necessary client data such as census, plan designs, and premium details.
Coordinate marketing strategy by meeting with Producer/Account Executive to identify coverage needs and target carriers.
Evaluate carriers by reviewing guidelines, monitoring ratings, and ensuring compliance with rating standards.
Handle RFPs and quotes by sending requests, performing follow-ups, and obtaining quotes, including online quotes when needed.
Analyze plan options by preparing "Current vs Renewal" and "Other Options" analyses.
Negotiate and finalize quotes in collaboration with the team as needed.
Prepare client presentations, audit for accuracy, and assemble appropriate disclosures.
Maintain system accuracy in BAM and ImageRight, updating policy lines, plan details, and account information.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including client/carrier travel, possibly out of state.
All other duties as assigned.
Licenses and Certifications:
MI Life & Health License is a requirement.
If not currently licensed, a license must be obtained within 1 year of employment with Brown & Brown Central Michigan.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
3 years’ experience in a benefits administrative role or financial/accounting/marketing role is (preferred)
Knowledge of group insurance products (Health, Rx, Dental, Disability, Life, etc.) is highly desired.
Experience in employee benefit insurance agency highly desired.
Experience in the public sector.
