Main responsibilities and tasks
Supports the Market Access Director in the development of the Market Access
Strategy: secures optimal market access & reimbursement for the products of Ipsen in France
- Play an integral role in product launch activities to ensure Market Access objectives are achieved.
- Analyzes clinical and economic data, and evaluates their impact on the market access strategy in order to optimize the value of our drugs,
- « Maintains the best timelines and/or enhance our competitiveness.
- Ensures that our pricing strategy is optimal and competitive.
- Analyze clinical and economic data and evaluate their impact on the market access strategy to optimize the value of the drugs.
- Ensure that the pricing strategy is optimal and competitive.
- Participate actively in the internal business cases for their validation.
- Effectively communicate the strategy to the global and local teams.
- Play a pivotal role in the cross-functional team (medical, public affairs, leadership team) to optimize access conditions and shape the environment for the products under her/his responsibility.
Reimbursement Strategy: leads and writes the files to get the best SMR and ASMR rating, coordinates economic dossiers to get the best the best economic decision by the CEESP
- Anticipate and highlight future challenges: define the best reimbursement strategy as well as the development plan for medical, medico-economic, and real-world data in coordination with the market access and medical teams at the national and global levels, which will support the value of a portfolio of products under development or already on the market.
- Lead the early access file writing in coordination with the medical and regulatory teams (“accès précoce”) and actively participate in the local and global cross functional team to operationalize the early access.
- Lead the reimbursement file writing in coordination with the medical and regulatory teams (transparency dossier for HAS).
- Lead the development of the economic dossier for the CEESP with the support of the global team and external provider.
Pricing Strategy:Compile the files to get a price in line with the global price guidance
- Participate to the price and negotiation strategy.
- Participate in the development of business cases for the internal validation of the pricing strategy by the global Access, Value, and Pricing Steering Committee.
- Lead the reimbursement file writing (“note d'intérêt économique” for the CEPS)
- Apply up-to-date pricing techniques and expert knowledge of regulations to support the optimization of prices for existing products.
- Assist the director in the price negotiation.
Environment shaping: Represent Ipsen in inter-company working groups.
- Actively represent externally Ipsen & participate in external working groups (LEEM or other external organizations).
- Defend Ipsen’s interests.
- Advocate for landscape adjustments relevant to the product portfolio.
Knowledge, abilities & experience
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong scientific and, economics or business background
Experience:
- At least 6-7 years of Market Access & Pricing experience
- Experience working on French HTA submissions (HAS and CEESP), including in writing reimbursement dossier for new products, new indications.
- Good knowledge of national pricing and reimbursement mechanisms, its business model and, of the landscape / environment
- Background in health economics, ideally with some experience
- Proficiency in reviewing clinical and health economic literature, encompassing disease state information, clinical trial designs and outcomes, as well as pharmacoeconomic studies, to comprehend their implications for value to payers.
- Dynamic, proactive, resourceful, team spirit with a hands-on approach and a strong passion for quality and achieving results.
- Proven experience successfully managing multiple project deadlines in a hands-on manner within a fast-paced work environment – in full compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
- Experience in price negotiation is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills
- Works independently with good level of autonomy
