Key Outputs
• Responsible for sales of marine engines and related equipment to new and existing ship-building projects for RSA and Greater Africa
• Provide technical and commercial proposals by direct liaison with domestic and international clients
• Build and sustain excellent customer relationships with owners, shipyards and other maritime industry stakeholders
• Contribute to the growth of the marine business by developing a robust opportunity pipeline
• Effective self-management, performance ownership and priority setting
• Prepare technical and commercial offers and grow order book.
• Visit various territories to hunt marine opportunities.
• Build and sustain excellent customer relationships with marine stakeholders.
• Contribute to the growth of the marine business by developing a robust opportunity pipeline
• Gather market and competitive intelligence and participate in creating a sustainable business.
• Commercial and contractual reviews ensuring marine business deliverables are maintained.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Matric and Tertiary Qualification (Electrical/Mechanical degree equivalent)
• Minimum of two years sales engineering experience
• Valid driver’s licence, with soundtrack record.
• 3 or more years’ experience in the marine sales and engineering environment
• Demonstrable product knowledge in marine hardware / diesel engines / propulsion drivelines / Electrical power generation / auxiliary engine applications.
• Caterpillar product knowledge will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of marine equipment and experience with shipyards, and shipowners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills Required
