The manufacturing supervisor's overall role is to communicate organizational needs, oversee employees' performance, provide guidance and support, identify development needs, and manage the reciprocal relationship between staff and the organization so that each is successful.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
- Plan and administer procedures and budgets.
- Make budgetary recommendations and controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor at higher levels.
- Develop schedule and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Robotics & Smart Systems is preferred.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the willingness to learn new software applications.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be an added advantage.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
- Display a self-motivated attitude, thriving in a timeline-driven environment.
- Flexible and willing to work on a 5-day shift schedule, based on operational requirements.
