The Role
Directs manufacturing operations, production scheduling, inventory, maintenance, safety, quality, and delivery requirements. Establishes objectives, assigns work, manages supervisors and staff, coordinates manufacturing projects, allocates resources, and monitors budgets and productivity. Partners with purchasing and other departments on material status and production planning, resolves operational issues, submits performance reports, and ensures projects meet schedule, budget, and customer requirements.

• Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
• Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Resolves issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
• Monitors and maintains department productivity and budgets.
• Manages the work efforts of supervisors/individual contributors.
• Displays broad knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.

Education and/or Experience
• Associates degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. .
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
