About This Role

This is a key role within the Operations Team that will serve as a manufacturing expert, ensuring that the organization’s facilities and manufacturing equipment effectively support operational goals by delivering safe, reliable and scalable solutions. This role will investigate new manufacturing methods and equipment to improve overall manufacturing operations and will lead capacity expansion and new capital equipment projects.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Develop facility layouts to optimize workflow, material movement, safety, and space utilization
  • Coordinate facility modifications, expansions, and infrastructure improvements with Supply Chain
  • Oversee machine shop equipment performance
  • Identify manufacturing equipment needs based on production requirements
  • Research, evaluate, and select equipment suppliers and integrators
  • Work with production staff to identify best manufacturing practices and implement them across all areas of production
  • Investigate industry best practices and emerging technologies and enhance manufacturing methods
  • Support production with technical problem-solving and the introduction of new processes and equipment
  • Assist in reducing manufacturing errors
  • Lead and contribute to corrective and preventive action initiatives, including resolution of customer complaints and deployment of robust error-proofing strategies in production. Ensure production team is assembling the product accurately as designed
  • When required, provide support to Supply Chain or Engineering in the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, items, or equipment from a manufacturability standpoint

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or custom product manufacturing ·
  • Experience in selecting, procuring, and installing capital equipment including overall project management
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies preferred
  • Experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality and environmental systems
  • Promote and support a safety-first culture
  • Identify risks early and implement preventive measures
  • Collaborate with Corporate Safety as needed
  • Strong commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven success implementing new processes, equipment, and tooling
  • Results-driven with strong initiative

Compensation range: $85,000 – $95,000 USD

Skills Required
