In this role, you will partner closely with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, and our manufacturing partners to develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes that deliver high-quality products efficiently and at scale. You will combine strong technical fundamentals with a hands-on approach to solving manufacturing challenges, improving processes, and ensuring manufacturing readiness throughout the product development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive manufacturing technical readiness for new product introductions through process development and optimization, manufacturing documentation, process validation, and fixture qualification

  • Partner with factory teams and cross-functional engineering partners to design, develop, and qualify manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and processes, using data-driven approaches to identify opportunities for effective automation

  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes that meet product specifications, establishing appropriate process controls to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and reliability

  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts, including DOEs, failure analysis, DMAIC, and 8D methodologies, to identify root causes of manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions

  • Drive cross-functional execution through rapid development and production ramp cycles, clearly communicating manufacturing risks, development progress, issue resolution, and project status to internal and external partners

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience

  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering or related experience supporting moderate- to high-volume production environments

  • Hands-on experience developing, qualifying, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes on the factory floor

  • Experience with manufacturing processes for small electronic products, such as adhesives, heat staking, automated assembly, or manual assembly

  • Working knowledge of injection-molded plastic part principles, common defect modes, process qualification, and GD&T principles

  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and applying sound engineering principles to fixture or manufacturing equipment design

  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines and with external manufacturing partners in CM/JDM environments; willingness to travel up to 25% as needed

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
