Job Summary**
The Manufacturing Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. supports production processes, optimizes efficiency, and ensures product quality through the application of engineering principles and problem-solving techniques. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of manufacturing solutions for various products.
Job Responsibilities**
* Support the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures.
* Assist in identifying and resolving production issues, quality defects, and assembly challenges.
* Conduct time studies and process analyses to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, quality assurance, and production personnel.
* Utilize Power BI to analyze production data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
* Generate and maintain reports on key manufacturing metrics such as throughput, efficiency, downtime, and quality.
* Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
* Assist in the selection and qualification of new equipment and technologies.
* Perform root cause analysis for production line failures and implement corrective actions.
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the Large Form Assemblies (LFA) industry.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and material handling.
* Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Proficiency in Power-Bi application preferred.
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
