The MLex Managing Editor - Europe is responsible for MLex editorial operations in Europe, overseeing its teams in London and Brussels.
The MLex managing Editor - Europe will provide leadership, direction and organizational management to the MLex editorial team of about 30 reporters and editors in Europe and the UK.
The first responsibility of the MLex Managing Editor - Europe is to ensure that all content published by MLex in Europe and the UK meets the required MLex standards of content quality, accuracy, timeliness, appropriateness, style, volume and value for MLex subscribers.
The MLex Managing Editor - Europe will provide impeccable news judgement appropriate to the region based on their expert regional market knowledge across the EU and UK jurisdictions, and extensive experience working in news journalism and editorial management in the region
The MLex Managing Editor - Europe will ensure efficient and effective editorial operations in the MLex newsroom in Europe and the UK region with overall responsibility for organizational structure, productivity, budgets, recruitment and HR processes in the region.
In Brussels, the MLex Managing Editor - Europe is MLex's representatives for legal and contractual issues in Belgium such as property lease and employment law. They will work with the LexisNexis Facilities team on office maintenance issues.
The MLex Managing Editor - Europe is responsible for the development of MLex journalists in Europe and the UK to ensure that they are the best journalists they can be. This involves ensuring that they are receiving appropriate, operational support, training and mentoring, in addition to recruitment and performance management.
The MLex Managing Editor - Eurpe will report to, and work closely with, the MLex Editor-in-Chief ensuring the MLex editorial objectives and operations are aligned to the global goals and processes of MLex and LN Legal News.
The MLex Managing Editor - Europe will work closely with their peers in the MLex editorial leadership team to maximize collaboration opportunities and editorial support across MLex's global operations
