Job Description

As Managing Director AT-PAC Mexico, you will lead the country organization through the next phase of growth, professionalization, and organizational development. You will hold full responsibility for the country P&L, commercial performance, operational execution, compliance, and people leadership. 

Your mission is to strengthen AT-PAC’s position in the Mexican market by expanding the customer base, increasing profitable and recurring business, improving market penetration, and building a scalable local organization. The role requires a strong balance of strategic direction, hands-on commercial leadership, operational discipline, and cultural development. 

Reporting to the Regional Director Latin America, you will work closely with regional leadership, global functions, and support teams to ensure that Mexico develops into a resilient, profitable, and customer-focused country organization. 

Role Purpose
Lead AT-PAC Mexico into its next phase by combining strategic thinking with a hands-on operational mindset, driving profitable growth, operational discipline, customer proximity, and a strong entrepreneurial leadership culture.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and demonstrates the maturity required to build a business for the long term.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a clear commercial strategy to deliver sustainable and profitable revenue growth.
  • Expand the customer base by identifying new business opportunities across relevant industrial, maintenance, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and service-related segments.
  • Drive customer and project diversification, reducing dependency on individual large projects while building a broader and more recurring revenue base. 
  • Lead strategic customer discussions, contract negotiations, pricing decisions, and major commercial opportunities in line with margin and growth expectations.
  • Establish commercial discipline through pipeline management, opportunity prioritization, CRM usage, forecasting accuracy, and margin-focused decision making.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to continuously refine the local commercial approach.

Operational Excellence, Compliance & Financial Performance

  • Ensure compliant, transparent, and efficient business operations in line with local requirements and Group standards.
  • Partner with global and regional support functions (e.g., Controlling/Finance, HR) to ensure alignment with standards and governance requirements.
  • Strengthen operational structures and scalable processes to support ongoing growth.
  • Oversee strategy of operations, warehouse management, logistics, and rental assets to maximize utilization, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Ensure that commercial commitments are operationally feasible, profitable, and aligned with available resources and capabilities.
  • Build effective collaboration between Mexico City, operational hubs, regional functions, and global support teams. 
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, margin management, and performance review processes for AT-PAC Mexico. 
  • Ensure consistent implementation of safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Leadership & Culture

  • Build an entrepreneurial, customer-focused, accountable and performance-driven culture across the organization.
  • Lead, develop, and empower teams across Sales, Operations, and Engineering to achieve business goals.
  • Drive people leadership practices, including talent development, succession thinking, performance dialogue and constructive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Create an environment where attitude, ownership, learning agility, and strategic thinking are valued as strongly as industry experience.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in commercial, business management, or operations roles within scaffolding, construction, industrial equipment, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the Mexican industrial and construction (ideally scaffolding) market, including customer landscape, competitive dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record in business development, market expansion, and building strategic customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams, with experience developing high-performing organizations and delivering sustainable business results.
  • Full P&L responsibility experience.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic mindset suited for a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and strong English required; ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment.
