Position Summary

In this strategic role, you will lead the development and execution of local and national recruiting strategies to attract and hire technical talent supporting projects, turnarounds, and outage-related work across the country. You will oversee the Talent Acquisition team while leveraging market insights, talent availability, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to develop innovative, effective staffing solutions.

Working closely with General Managers and hiring managers, you will define the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for open positions and translate business needs into targeted recruitment plans. You will also prepare workforce forecasts based on operational requirements and build strong talent pipelines through partnerships with industry groups, professional networks, associations, trade schools, community outreach programs, veteran organizations, staffing agencies, and employee referrals.


Role Details:

  • Full time permanent, 40 hours/week
  • Hybrid 3-4 days per week out of Galleria, Houston TX office 
Responsibilities

Supporting regional and national technical staffing demands by:

  • Developing a staffing strategy for technical field inspection workforce in collaboration with local operations, workforce planning and TA team and regional HR departments
  • Developing talent pools for multiple technical skill sets across the organization
  • Developing and fostering long-term relationships with current job seekers and passive candidates that may lead to hiring or further networking;
  • Using best in class strategies to source and make contact with qualified candidates and potential apprentices/trainees
  • Using best practices to penetrate the market with the Acuren brand and generate excitement and interest in employment with us
  • Oversee strategic recruitment events and initiatives such as national recruitment campaigns, attending college and trade school job fairs, attending high school and non-traditional career events aimed at generating interest in NDT careers

Supporting retention of technical employees by:

  • Maintaining relationships with technical staff post-hire to ensure ongoing employee satisfaction
  • Assisting workforce staffing and planning team and operations management on career path development and certifications of technical staff
  • Mentoring technical staff to ensure appropriate technical progress and skills development
  • Managing skills matrices of technical staff to ensure timely training and progression.

Supporting the hiring and onboarding of technical candidates by:

  • Reviewing resumes, pre-screening and interviewing candidates, and verifying qualifications and advancing candidates to local operational management, workforce planning and staffing team and HR
  • Coordinating the preparation of offer letters and ensuring appropriate communication with candidates
  • Coordinating with operations to ensure logistics matters have been addressed appropriately for new candidates
  • Connecting with staff post-hire to check in on initial onboarding experience and work expectations
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years in full cycle recruitment, including at least 2 years in a supervisor or manager position
  • In-depth knowledge of staffing principles, best practices and relevant legislation
  • Sound knowledge of staffing and selection processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Craft and NDT and ability to convey the technical requirements and demands of various client sectors and NDT methods
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence candidate attraction
  • Ability to target, recruit and identify specific technical candidates for assigned recruitment initiatives
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent demands; Ability to maintain positive working relations with internal colleagues and external contacts
  • Consistently demonstrates their understanding of, and compliance with, responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Acuren Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures.
