The Impact You'll Have Lead the team responsible for attracting and hiring the talent that powers Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. This role oversees recruiting across all business areas and has direct influence on hiring outcomes, recruiter effectiveness, hiring leader and candidate experience.
You will lead a team of recruiters and coordinators responsible for hiring talent across the enterprise while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on workforce needs, hiring strategy, and market trends. Success in this role requires balancing operational excellence with continuous improvement, helping the organization hire exceptional talent while strengthening the capabilities of the recruiting function. What You'll Do
  • Lead day-to-day recruiting delivery against enterprise hiring demand, and talent acquisition capacity planning
  • Carry a small active requisition load
  • Manage, coach and develop recruiters, senior advisors and coordinators, including performance management, career development and hiring manager escalation
  • Influence talent acquisition enablement and system capabilities
How You'll Do It
  • Partner with HR business partners, compensation and hiring leaders on requisition strategy, offer development and market positioning
  • Build and maintain a recruiter development model that supports career progression and reduces single-point dependency in the function
  • Support the Sr. Director on enterprise talent acquisition strategy, workforce demand planning inputs and market intelligence
  • Partner with the Employment Brand and Workforce Program leads to ensure consistent candidate experience across permanent and contingent talent channels
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations (e.g. OFCCP), internal hiring policy and audit requirements
  • Represent talent acquisition in cross-functional initiatives and process improvement work
  • Design and run recruiting process improvements and enablement work, including sourcing, screening and automation
  • Build recruiter capability through structured coaching, feedback and development planning
  • Manage and set team performance goals and metrics, timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress
  • Develop and execute plans to identify and drive productivity improvements
  • Performs additional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the role, as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience 
  • 5+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, with 1+ staff, team lead or project lead experience
  • Bachelor’s degree; in lieu of a degree, an additional two years of relevant experience beyond the qualifications listed above may be accepted

Preferred Skills & Experience 
  • Masters degree in related field.
  • 7+ years of related professional experience in HR - a majority in full-cycle recruiting
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting high volume and director level roles
  • Experience managing recruiting delivery against defined services levels and metrics
  • Ability to communicate expectations and priorities clearly to team members, actively listen to resolve issues and remove barriers, and drive alignment across teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of labor markets, talent pipelining, and sourcing strategies 
  • Ability to analyze department challenges, guide team decision-making, and collaborate across teams to drive resolution and next steps
  • Workday Applicant Tracking system experience
  • Ability to effectively organize work, balance priorities across projects, and manage time and resources to ensure timely delivery and coordination
  • Prior experience handling sensitive employee and candidate information confidentially and comply with applicable privacy, confidentiality, and data protection requirements
Role Designation Hybrid

Role designation definition:

  • Teleworking is working full time remote.
  • Hybrid is a minimum of 2 days onsite.
  • Onsite is full-time onsite.

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week – most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships, creativity, and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.

Compensation and Benefits $117,800.00 - $159,000.00 - $200,200.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
