(II) About the Role
The Manager, Revenue Optimization & Assurance will lead a high-impact function focused on maximizing revenue realization, strengthening revenue assurance capabilities, and driving strategic transformation initiatives across Mastercard Services.
This role is responsible for identifying revenue optimization opportunities, proactively detecting and resolving revenue leakage, and leading cross-functional programs from problem identification through solution implementation and value realization.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of business strategy, operations, analytics, finance, and technology, partnering closely with Product, Finance, Sales, Network Services, Insights & Enablement (I&E), and Operations teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization. The individual must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, building consensus, and driving change without direct authority.
The role also includes people leadership responsibilities and offers significant visibility across Mastercard's Services organization.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Optimization & Revenue Assurance• Lead initiatives to identify, quantify, and realize revenue optimization opportunities across Mastercard Services. • Develop scalable frameworks to proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate revenue leakage. • Establish governance mechanisms and operational controls to improve revenue integrity and realization. • Monitor revenue performance and identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities.
Strategic Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis• Lead investigations into complex revenue, billing, operational, and process-related issues. • Conduct structured root-cause analysis across business processes, operating models, and technology platforms. • Develop sustainable corrective actions and long-term solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
Transformation & Program Leadership• Lead end-to-end transformation initiatives focused on revenue realization, operational efficiency, and process modernization. • Drive initiatives from opportunity identification and business case development through implementation and benefit realization. • Partner with Network Services, Billing Teams and Insights & Enablement (I&E) teams to design and implement scalable technology solutions. • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
Stakeholder Management & Influence• Build strong relationships with senior leaders across Product, Finance, Sales, Operations, Technology, and Services organizations. • Influence decision-making and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups without direct authority. • Facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and establish consensus in complex environments. • Communicate recommendations, progress updates, and business impact to executive leadership.
Team Leadership• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Revenue Acceleration professionals. • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration. • Set team priorities and ensure successful delivery against strategic objectives.
(III) Qualifications
Required• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business transformation, revenue operations, revenue assurance, finance transformation, payments, fintech, or related disciplines. • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and enterprise-wide transformation programs. • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities. • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex business issues and translate insights into executable solutions. • Experience managing teams and developing talent. • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in matrixed organizations. • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred• Experience within payments, fintech, financial services, telecommunications, or technology organizations. • Experience working with revenue assurance, billing operations, commercial operations, or revenue optimization programs. • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or other analytical tools.
