(II) About the Role
The Senior Specialist, Revenue Optimization & Assurance will play a critical role in driving revenue optimization, revenue assurance, and strategic transformation initiatives across Mastercard Services.
This individual will lead key workstreams within large-scale programs focused on revenue realization, billing integrity, process improvement, and operational transformation.
This role requires a highly analytical and execution-oriented professional who can independently manage complex workstreams, solve ambiguous business problems, and collaborate effectively across multiple functions.
The position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and provides opportunities to influence strategic initiatives with measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Optimization & Assurance• Analyze revenue performance and operational processes to identify revenue leakage, billing gaps, and revenue acceleration opportunities. • Quantify business impact and develop recommendations to improve revenue realization. • Support development of revenue assurance frameworks, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis• Investigate complex revenue and operational issues. • Conduct detailed root-cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations. • Partner with business and technology teams to drive issue resolution and sustainable process improvements.
Program & Workstream Leadership• Lead assigned workstreams within broader Revenue Optimization & Assurance initiatives. • Manage activities from problem definition through implementation and impact measurement. • Coordinate project activities, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration• Partner with Product, Finance, Sales, Network Services, Operations, and I&E teams to deliver business outcomes. • Gather requirements, facilitate discussions, and drive alignment across stakeholders. • Support implementation of business process changes and technology solutions.
Reporting & Business Insights• Develop analyses, dashboards, business cases, and executive-ready presentations. • Track initiative performance and communicate progress to leadership. • Support governance forums and strategic planning activities.
Qualifications
Required• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, Information Systems, or related discipline. • 5-8+ years of experience in consulting, business transformation, strategy, analytics, finance, operations, revenue assurance, or related fields. • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. • Experience managing projects, workstreams, or transformation initiatives. • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments. • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. • Ability to independently drive workstreams with limited oversight.
Preferred• Has experience in creating agents (copilot/chatgpt) to improve effieciency• Experience within payments, fintech, financial services, telecommunications, or technology industries. • Experience with revenue assurance, billing operations, commercial operations, or operational excellence programs. • Proficiency in Excel and experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools. • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
