Position Summary

The SaaS Demo Environment Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective presentation and demonstration of our software products. This is an individual contributor position which involves managing and maintaining a complex SaaS demo environment. The manager is responsible for the stability, performance, optimization and accuracy of the demo environment, and ensuring our Pre sales solution team has demo guides and scripts that aligns with our marketing strategies and product messaging.

This role requires a blend of Solid project management skills to work cross-functionally to ensure support and alignment across product, Development, product marketing, and other teams. A marketing background or proven experience and success leading the design and training of Pre-sales solution demo guides/scripts that align to Marketing and business objectives. We are looking for someone to help us raise the bar in our messaging, storytelling, and overall effectiveness of our demos. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on details and execution excellence.

The SaaS Demo Environment Manager will be a key contributor to the company's sales and marketing efforts, ensuring that our demo environment effectively supports business objectives and provides a compelling, accurate, and reliable demonstration experience for potential customers.

Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Take ownership of the Demo environment: Ensure consistent, stable, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest features and updates. Develop and enforce standards for the demo environment to guarantee consistency across different demos. Work cross-functionally with Product and engineering to optimize demo experience.

Strategic Demo Design and Alignment: Lead a cross-functional effort on the creation of compelling demo scripts and guides, that align with marketing objectives and business goals, enhancing our brand's storytelling and messaging impact.

Manage and Maintain Demo Environment: Oversee the technical setup, configuration, and maintenance of the SaaS demo environment, ensuring optimal stability and performance.

Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure that the demo content effectively communicates the product's value proposition and aligns with current marketing campaigns.

Training and Enablement: Collaborate with Sales training team to develop and conduct training sessions for sales and pre-sales teams, empowering them to deliver demos that resonate with customers and showcase the product's strengths.

Documentation and Process Optimization: Create detailed documentation for demo processes and procedures, setups, escalation support paths and resolutions paths ensuring operational continuity and efficiency, especially in fast-paced environments.

Cross-Functional Project Management: Lead projects involving multiple teams, setting milestones, and ensuring the timely and successful completion of objectives.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update the demo environment to maintain accuracy and relevance, integrating feedback for continuous enhancement.

Dynamic and Fast-Paced Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a keen focus on detail and execution excellence.

Risk Management and Problem Solving: Proactively identify risks and efficiently resolve issues to ensure the smooth operation of the demo environment.

Feedback loop and measuring effectiveness: Create feedback loops with presales solutions team sales, and marketing to ensure the effectiveness of demos. Build out metrics and reporting in partnership with sales ops on tracking the effectiveness of demos tied to key sales metrics. Use feedback for the continuous development of the team.

Tools and 3rd party solutions: Evaluate new tools, and 3rd party solutions that can assist the team in scale, efficiency, effectiveness, and "raise the bar" of the Pre-sales solutions team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a SaaS organization
  • Strong understanding of product demonstration best practices, sales processes, and marketing strategies
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive initiatives to completion
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Technical acumen and familiarity with software development processes
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office suite

The Product Demonstration Environment Manager will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role will require occasional travel of twenty-five percent or more (25%+) to CDK offices, training/meeting and industry events. Some evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate product enhancement and technical deployment schedules.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000 + Bonus + Benefits
