How you’ll make an impact

The core purpose of the Manager Risk, Compliance and Controls is to support the management of risks within appetite, controls are designed and operating effectively and the business is compliant with the relevant obligations.

In this role, you’ll partner with our Superannuation & Investments business to help manage risk, strengthen compliance, and support sustainable business growth. You’ll work with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure key risks are identified, monitored, and effectively managed.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing stakeholders, and helping embed a strong risk and compliance culture.

In this role, you will: 

  • Design and improving risk and compliance controls.
  • Support control testing and assurance activities.
  • Assist with risk assessments, incident reviews, and compliance monitoring.
  • Contributing to business change initiatives by providing risk and compliance guidance.
  • Prepare risk insights and reporting for leadership, committees, and boards.
  • Support the implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and compliance plans.
  • Deliver risk and compliance training and building awareness across the business.
  • Maintain accurate risk and control information in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems.
  • Monitor key risk indicators and supporting risk appetite management.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and providing trusted risk and compliance advice.
  • Support regulatory change management, outsourcing risk assessments, and annual risk management processes.
  • Assist with business continuity and resilience planning.
  • Champion risk tools and dashboards to drive self-service and informed decision-making.

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you will bring the following experiences to this role: 

  • Previous 5+ years experience in relevant professional role and working across a fast paced, customer/client service orientated team environment and/or financial service industry and driving a collaborative, high performance culture
  • Experience in providing emerging technical experience within own area/team
  • Broad understanding and experience of wealth management and processes of financial planning
  • Understanding of the regulatory and compliance regime for financial services

Skills Required
