This position is responsible to drive regional alignment, governance, and performance across SEA retail projects and design initiatives. This position operates by owning regional frameworks, strategic initiatives, governance mechanisms, and performance tracking, while influencing country teams through matrix leadership rather than direct reporting lines. The role balances retail design sensibility with strong project management discipline, enabling consistent execution, speed-to-market, and quality across all SEA retail formats including flagship, inline, factory outlet, SIS, and special projects.
Task 1: SEA Project & Design Leadership and Coordination
- Act as the regional focal point for SEA Project & Design coordination across all countries.
- Drive alignment of country project pipelines with regional priorities and capacity.
- Ensure structured coordination between Project Managers, Design teams, and the Senior Head.
- Lead regional cadence meetings, follow-ups, and action tracking.
- Provide managerial oversight on delivery readiness, risks, and dependencies across SEA.
Task 2: Governance, Standards & Quality Assurance
- Own and drive governance frameworks for retail design and project execution across SEA.
- Ensure adherence to Global Retail Environment standards and regional directives.
- Oversee approvals, design signoffs, and execution checkpoints.
- Proactively identify deviations, quality risks, and execution gaps; drive corrective actions.
- Support flagship and strategic projects with enhanced governance focus.
Task 3: Strategic Initiatives, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and drive regional strategic initiatives related to store formats, cost optimization, speed-to-market, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, modularization, and sustainability.
- Translate strategic intent into actionable regional programs and playbooks.
Task 4: Regional Performance Tracking, Reporting & Insights
- Own SEA-level dashboards covering project status, design readiness, timelines, and risks.
- Maintain consolidated insights on project health and delivery performance.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and decision-support materials.
- SEA project delivery adherence (timeline, readiness, quality). Governance and compliance effectiveness across markets. Impact of strategic initiatives (cost, speed, scalability, quality). Quality of regional reporting and leadership visibility. Stakeholder confidence and alignment scores.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Engineering, or relevant studies.
Professional: A minimum 7 years of experience in retail project management, retail design, architecture, or construction. Proven exposure to multi-country or regional retail environments. Experience managing flagship or complex retail projects preferred. Prior experience operating at a regional or matrix-management level is an advantage.
IT Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools. Strong understanding of retail project lifecycles and design development stages. Working knowledge of AutoCAD / design documentation processes. Familiarity with dashboards, trackers, and performance reporting
Language Skills: Fluency in English (PUMA Group Language is English)
