Lead the vendor management function ensuring the effective localisation and implementation of the Standard Bank Group (SBG) procurement strategies and processes enabling the sourcing and provision of services. Job Description- Build and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders within the Bank to resolve complex issues and deliver high performance cost, service and quality outcomes.

- Design and establish performance standards and evaluation processes to assess and report on vendor management activity in terms of progress, results, customer satisfaction, value and cost.
- Develop and maintain open communication with direct reports and the broader procurement fraternity to foster greater co-operation and teamwork. Monitor and manage the performance and development of the vendor management team; ensuring regular one-on-one feedback sessions, conducting mid-year and final performance appraisals, as well as the moderation and relative distribution of all appraisals for the team.
- Develop the analytics infrastructure to provide accurate spend information as required by procurement teams and stakeholders.
- Drive efficiencies in the SBG procurement strategies, policies and processes incorporating local legislative requirements, digitisation and applying business insights and objectives ensuring procurement remains regionally relevant.
- Drive the automation of procurement processes to automate the vendor contract management end-to-end process and reporting aligned to the procurement mandate.
- Establish mechanisms to ensure supplier relationships are effectively governed both within and outside of the procurement function.
- Lead implementation of the Standard Bank Group (SBG) procurement policies and procedures ensuring a consistent and standardised approach to vendor management.
- Partner with People & Culture to build expertise within the team and to foster an environment in which learning, and development are emphasised and valued.
