The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Director of Procurement to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement within the organization. Your Impact

  • Assist with the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with AspenTech goals and objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier qualifications and screenings, requisitions, purchase order creation & changes, RFx, contracts, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for AspenTech.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Track and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to procurement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the software or technology industry with history of advancing roles & responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management and review, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
