Job Title: Manager Process Engineering

Location: Uppsala, Sweden

 

We are now looking for an experienced and driven Manager Process Engineering to lead and develop our engineering capabilities in Uppsala. This is a key leadership role where you will combine technical expertise with people leadership, driving the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment in a highly regulated environment.

Job Description

As Manager Process Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers and take ownership of the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and systems. You will ensure that all engineering activities are aligned with GMP requirements, regulatory expectations, and business needs, while also optimizing cost, quality, and performance.

You will play a central role in driving engineering strategy, leading projects, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders such as Production, Quality, and Maintenance. This is a role where both leadership and technical expertise are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will take ownership of leading and developing a high-performing Process Engineering team, creating the right conditions for both people and performance to thrive. Through your leadership, you will ensure the team is aligned, motivated, and equipped to deliver on ambitious business goals.

You will play a key role in shaping how manufacturing equipment and systems are designed and implemented, making sure they meet the highest standards of compliance, performance, and cost efficiency. Your ability to see both the big

picture and technical details will be essential in driving smart, future-proof solutions.

Driving engineering projects from idea to reality will be a central part of your mission. You will ensure projects are executed efficiently, balancing quality, timelines, and cost while navigating a complex and highly regulated environment.

With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you will actively identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency — turning insights into tangible results that impact the business.

As a key technical authority, you will act as a trusted advisor across the organization, supporting stakeholders with your expertise in manufacturing equipment and process engineering.

Collaboration will be at the heart of your work, as you partner closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery of shared objectives.

You will also be responsible for managing priorities, resources, and budgets within your area, ensuring that the organization’s engineering efforts are both effective and sustainable over time.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Must-have

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field

· Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering

· Proven experience working in a GMP-regulated environment

· Demonstrated experience leading teams within engineering or manufacturing

· Strong experience managing engineering or equipment-related projects

· Fluency in English

Nice-to-have

· Experience from pharmaceutical or medical device industry

· Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process optimization

· Experience driving technology implementation or transformation initiatives

· Experience working with external vendors and suppliers

· Experience with budget responsibility and resource planning

· Fluency in Swedish
