Your key responsibilities:
In this role at Vonage you’ll be responsible for the following:

- Lead a team in the development and management of the Vonage Internal Developer Platform
- Participating in architecture discussions within the Vonage Architecture forum to ensure we’re providing the best solutions to the technical challenges within Vonage
- Maintaining the platform both in the development and production environments. This includes participating in and maintaining the oncall rotation for your team
- All decisions around hiring for your team & Embrace Vonage culture and lead by example
- Ensure alignment with teams hosted within the PaaS platform are using Vonage resources in the most cost effective methods
- The security of the PaaS platform in conjunction with the Security teams.
- All compliance requirements & Continuous Improvement for the PaaS platform.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, along with a passion for innovation and delivering technical excellence.
- 3+ years of experience leading Platform Engineering or SRE teams, with a strong ability to mentor, grow, and develop high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes-based platforms and CNCF tools such as ArgoCD, Kyverno, Karpenter, and others.
- Significant experience working within the AWS ecosystem and proficient with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and extensive experience automating development and deployment processes.
- Confident coding and debugging in languages like Python, Go, and Ruby to support automation and infrastructure tasks.
- A dynamic, results-oriented approach, with flexibility to succeed in fast-paced environments and continuously improve technical solutions.
