We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking, focused, technical, and motivated engineering manager to join our Optical Manufacturing Engineering team in Chonburi, Thailand. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence one of NVIDIA’s strategic products significantly. You will lead a team of 2-5 manufacturing engineers who ensure our optics manufacturing infrastructure operates flawlessly. As a manager, you will guide the team through the New Product ramp and Mass Production (MP) phases. Your goal is to achieve outstanding infrastructure readiness, capacity ramp, process development, CM employee training, and early responses to line issues. Your leadership will be vital during the transition from NPI to Mass Production. At that stage, the focus shifts to operational excellence, machine availability optimization, consumable management, capacity planning, CM team support, and monitoring essential performance metrics.
What you'll be doing:
Manage and guide a team of 2–5 manufacturing engineers at the CM site in Chonburi, ensuring clear priorities and effective daily execution.
Serve as the primary contact who collaborates with CM, facilitating daily communication on infrastructure status, capacity readiness, and execution alignment.
Take responsibility for optics manufacturing infrastructure, encompassing installation, qualification, availability, and overall equipment efficiency.
Ensure CM engineers and technicians are accurately trained and capable of maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment.
Manage infrastructure spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability and efficient usage to support high-volume production.
Standardize and continuously improve maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, including defining and tracking relevant benchmarks.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.
Develop team capability and collaborate cross-functionally to drive manufacturing strategies and sustain a high-availability optical production line.
Collaborate with the Israeli team to help maintain efficient operations on the CM assembly floor.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
8+ overall years of technical skills in Assembly Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering.
3+ years’ experience in an engineering management position.
Engineering/Optics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and experience in optics assembly.
Committed to understanding and supporting colleagues.
Ability to set priorities and resolve conflicts.
Experience in supplier/OSAT/CM management.
Performs well in an intensive and dynamic environment.
Proficient in English
