SALARY: $98,000 - $115,000, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

LOCATION: Four Peaks Brewing Company – Tempe, AZ

ROLE SUMMARY:  The Operations Manager (OM) will oversee the comprehensive function of the packaging department. This position oversees supervisors and line leaders in the packaging department. In addition, the OM works with the Production Brewmaster to problem solve systematic issues/concerns for the betterment of production efficiency and quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Supervise planning and execution of capital projects, maintenance activities, production, and sanitation with similar level of detail as the manager over each area.

  • Oversee utilization of Capex, maintenance, production, and sanitation budgetary accounts.

  • Work with maintenance employees/personnel to assist with equipment problems.

  • Minimize waste by monitoring and controlling process and equipment performance.

  • Ensure efficiency and quality and manages metrics.

  • Author and approve standard operating procedures and guidelines.

  • Partner with the Safety Manager to maintain a culture of safety within the packaging areas and is responsible for staff safety.

  • Communicate with Warehouse Supervisor ensuring adequate preparation for wholesaler trucks/shipments.

  • Work with AB Logistics to monitor distribution center stock levels.

  • Manage the logistics coordinator to ensure product availability/production for accurate shipping.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field. 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing/production/warehouse operations and comprehensive processes.

  • Ability to identify problems, and present solutions autonomously.

  • General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work.

  • Ability to interpret technical bulletins and schematics on equipment related to work.

  • Familiarity with production brewing operation.

  • Strong financial acumen in dealing with complex budgets.

  • Proven track record in motivating staff to achieve goals, embrace change, and develop succession planning.

  • Experience with OBEER a plus.
