As the Operations Performance Manager, you will play a key role in improving operational performance, reduce defects related to data issues, process issues, reduce transactional cycle times and reduce process defects related to chain-of-custody and billing issues.

A Day in the Life

Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Owns Operations performance KPIs & reporting; oversees ongoing monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators across select functional operations to maximize vehicle uptime and availability for one of Element’s Tier 1 strategic clients

  • Champion data-driven approach, including use of statistical methods and advanced platform tools, to analyze information, root cause analysis remediation, and facilitate solutions to business problems

  • Lead partnership with business and technical teams as needed to deliver process enhancements, improve performance, data integrity

  • Conduct ongoing ad hoc analysis as necessary

  • Authors memos and reports for managers to look over the findings and recommendations for business leaders and client

Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback

  • Lead daily and weekly performance reviews with operations teams, preparing data, insights and areas of focus, documenting findings and tracking identified action items to resolution in partnership with operations stakeholders

  • Partner with Product team to support workflow management, roadmap & data needs

  • Drive reporting & analytics enhancements throughout the ideation, prioritization, and development process to incorporate feedback and validate design, support testing and production launches

  • Lead client & vendor discussions on performance management results & facilitate improvements where needed across partnership ecosystem

Capacity + Workforce Planning

  • Workforce Planning: Develop pilot capacity modeling which can be leveraged to transfer / development / administration to forecast labor demand and supply across many products/processes.

  • Create monthly cadence w/ stakeholders for review of model outputs and assumptions.

  • Develop metrics and other statistical indicators helping us measure ‘when and where to grow’ (i.e., factoring for geographies).

  • Distribute capacity modeling to Leadership monthly in advance of Monthly Labor Planning Meeting.

  • Support administration and accounting/management of org headcount as growth roles are executed upon.

  • Other Functional Areas: Meet w/ Directors and Managers in other functional areas to identify current workforce planning solutions and offer to support consolidation (upon conclusion of successful Workforce Planning pilot).

Workflow + Throughput Forecasting 

  • Program Enrollment Forecasting: Partner w/ stakeholders to develop and sophisticate methodologies to forecast vehicle intake and enrollment volumes by week throughout the calendar year. Align forecast w/ communicated targets surrounding peak volume periods to identify surplus / deficits of inventory and proactively strategize to align inventory with vehicle demand.

  • Other Functional Areas: Meet w/ Directors and Managers in other functional areas to identify potential forecasting needs as communicated by clients and work to develop solutions. 

Requirements :

  • BS/BA in Business, Analytics, Finance, Computer Science or related field and 5+ years’ experience supporting data-driven approach to support operational performance management. Masters in related field strongly preferred.

  • 2+ years managing a team of direct reports

  • Strong analytical experience; experience with platform solutions such as PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake, Smartsheet, RPA or related software solutions preferred

  • Experience in fleet management or transportation logistics a plus

  • Have led operational performance reviews, documenting needs & driving change in collaboration with internal partners

  • Proven ability to establish, manage and evolve operations performance analytics suites & insights to achieve operations performance targets in collaboration with cross-functional partners

  • Crisp, insightful oral- and written- communications style and able to summarize, using data & supporting narrative across multiple formats

  • Ability to effectively navigate, collaborate, & communicate across cross-stakeholder teams and Subject Matter Experts within IT and Business/Operations. Must be adept at influencing across various level of the organization and storytelling to highlight value and inspire action.
